Keep a few people close enough to see you without the filter on.

Almost every setting asks for a version of you that is slightly managed, and keeping that up everywhere is tiring in a way that is hard to locate. A few people who see the unedited version make all the rest bearable. That kind of closeness only comes from letting somebody watch you be unimpressive.

Pick one person and tell them the real state of things this week rather than the summary. Answer the question about how you are honestly, just once. Being known is worth more than being admired, and only one of those is available from large numbers of people.
