Keep an open mind, but put a screen door on it. Not every bug gets to fly in.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Openness with no filter at all is not curiosity, it is an absence of judgment, and it leaves you carrying whatever the loudest source handed over. The aim is to let ideas in while keeping the right to turn some away. Considering something and adopting it are separate acts, and the gap between them is where thinking actually happens.
When a new claim arrives, ask who benefits from your believing it and what would change your mind. Sit with it a day before repeating it. You can take an idea seriously, look into it properly, and still decide it does not get to stay.
Which ideas do you let in without checking them?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
