Finding the useful angle on a bad day is a rep. More reps, stronger muscle.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Finding something workable in a bad situation is not a temperament that certain people were issued at birth. It is a trained response, and it gets slightly easier each time in the same way any repeated movement does. Early on it feels forced, which is exactly what early repetitions feel like.
On the next bad day, make yourself name one thing that is genuinely usable, without pretending the day was good. Keep it small and keep it true. Doing that regularly builds the reflex, and the reflex is what you want available during a genuinely hard week.
