A bad mood is weather. Who you are is climate. Don’t sell the house over one thunderstorm.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Any given day carries more weight than it deserves, especially a bad one, because whatever you feel right now presents itself as permanent. Moods pass through on their own timetable and say very little about the overall pattern. Decisions made while the weather is bad tend to be ones you would not make otherwise.
Postpone the large conclusions about your life until the mood has moved along. Look at the season rather than the afternoon, and ask how the past few months have actually gone. If the bad weather has genuinely settled in for months, that is different, and worth telling somebody about.
