Trends expire every season. Character is the only look that ages well.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Anything designed to signal that you are current is built to expire, since expiring is what keeps it current. There is nothing wrong with enjoying that, as long as you notice it depreciates on a schedule. What people still respond to in someone twenty years on is how they treated others and whether their word held. That part compounds rather than dating.
Give some of the attention you spend on surfaces to how you handle one difficult conversation this week. Nobody records it. It lasts considerably longer than the things that do get recorded.
What part of you has stayed the same since middle school?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
