“Later” is a town where good plans go to retire.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Deferral is comfortable because it does not feel like refusal. You have not declined anything, only moved it, and the trouble is that later is a category rather than a time, so whatever goes in stops having a date attached. With no date there is no moment when anything is due, and the plan stays permanently alive and permanently unstarted. That kills an idea more thoroughly than saying no.
Take one thing sitting in later and give it an actual day and hour this week. Small is fine. Dates are what separate plans from intentions.
What plan have you been moving to later for months?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
