Use the filter long enough and your real face starts to look like the edited one.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
What you look at repeatedly becomes your reference for normal, including your own face. The adjusted version is available constantly and the unadjusted one shows up only in bad light, so the edit becomes the baseline and reality starts reading as the deviation. This is not vanity. It is what repeated exposure does to a standard.
Spend some time with pictures nobody arranged, old ones, group ones, ones taken badly. Let your face be a face doing things rather than an image being assessed. If you use filters, use them knowing they are a costume rather than a correction.
How do you feel about your face without the filter?
