A recording is a choice about where to start and where to point, and both choices are invisible in the result. What you see is already an argument, edited by whoever had the phone out and whoever decided to share it. The most confident conclusions tend to come from the smallest amount of footage.

When something makes you certain within five seconds, treat that speed as a warning rather than as clarity. Ask what happened before the clip began and who benefits from your reaction. You can withhold judgment without defending anyone, which is usually the honest position.
