Advice nobody asked for bounces off. Wait for the question.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Unrequested guidance is heard as criticism, no matter how kindly it is meant, because it implies the other person had not thought of it. The information may be correct and the moment makes it useless. People take in advice when they have gone looking for it, and not really before.

If you can see what someone should do, hold it. Stay close, be useful in practical ways, and let them know you are available. The question usually comes eventually, and when it does you will have their full attention instead of their defences.
