Generosity with limits lasts for years. Generosity without them burns out by March.

Giving without any boundary is not more generous, only shorter. Everything you have to offer, time, money, attention, comes out of a finite supply, and ignoring that does not extend it, it means the supply empties and the giving stops altogether, often with resentment attached. A sustainable amount delivered for a decade is worth more than everything for one season.

Decide what you can give regularly without depleting yourself, then give that reliably. Decline the rest without guilt. Being available for years is the more useful kind of generosity.
