Your name lasts longer when attached to what you gave instead of what you owned.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Ownership transfers and is forgotten quickly; what you gave stays attached to you in the memory of whoever received it. People recall the help, the teaching, the time you made available, long after they have forgotten what anyone had. This is not a moral instruction so much as an observation about how memory works. Giving is simply more durable than having.
Ask what you have that could usefully be given rather than held: knowledge, introductions, attention, a bit of your time. Give one piece of it deliberately this month. You will likely never see where it goes, which is part of the arrangement.
What have you given that will still matter after you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
