Stubborn is just deciding to stop looking because looking got uncomfortable.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Refusing to reconsider is rarely about strength. It is what happens when new information would cost you something, a position you defended publicly, an identity, an apology you would owe. The discomfort arrives first and the reasons for not looking arrive right after, sounding very much like principle.
When you notice you do not want to know something, treat that feeling as the place to look. Ask what it would cost you if you were wrong, and whether that cost is really as large as it feels. Changing your mind in public is survivable and usually raises how much people trust you.
Where did you stop asking questions because answers felt uncomfortable?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
