Growing up means understanding that nobody is coming to organize every part of life for you.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
At some point it becomes clear that there is no adult behind the scenes arranging things: no one scheduling your health, tracking your finances, deciding when you should rest, noticing that you have not spoken to your friends in months. Whatever does not get built by you does not exist. The realization is bleak for about a week and then becomes the beginning of actual capability.
Pick the one area you have been unconsciously waiting for someone else to handle. Give it a small, dull structure this week: a recurring appointment, a monthly review, a standing evening with people you love. The structure is not exciting and it is the only thing that makes those areas stop drifting.
What part of your life are you still waiting for someone to handle?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
