Say “I’m jealous” in your own head, plainly. It loses half its power the moment you stop disguising it as critique.

REFLECTION
Envy rarely turns up under its own name. It arrives dressed as a fair criticism of the person, a reservation about their work, a comment on how they got there. The disguise is what keeps it powerful, because a critique feels justified while a plain admission is simply uncomfortable for a moment and then over.
Try naming it flatly in your own head the next time it shows up. Two words, no elaboration. Then ask what specifically you want that they have, because underneath most envy is a fairly clear statement about your own direction that you have not said out loud.
What would you admit if you dropped the critique first?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
