Know the hours when you make bad calls. Nothing smart gets decided at 1 a.m. with a phone in your face.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Judgement has a schedule, and yours is worse at some hours than others. Late at night, tired, with a screen in front of you, the same question produces a different answer than it would at ten in the morning. Nothing about you changed except the conditions, which is precisely the point worth knowing.
Work out your two or three worst hours and make a standing rule about them. No sending, no deciding, no buying. Write the thought down instead and look at it tomorrow. Most of what felt urgent at one in the morning will not survive breakfast, and the rest will still be there.
At what hour do your worst decisions usually get made?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
