Decorate your mind like your favorite room. Put up the good memories, clear the junk and let some light in.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
What occupies your attention accumulates the way objects accumulate in a room, mostly without decisions being made. Old grievances, a running commentary you never chose, memories that only get replayed when you are tired. A fair amount of it stayed simply because nothing ever moved it out.
Choose one thing to put in and one to stop rehearsing. Bring back a memory you like and actually think about it rather than letting it sit unused. Small and specific works better here than any attempt to reorganise everything at once.
Which memory would you hang on the wall of your head?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
