Everybody owns a few masks. The skill is noticing which one’s on your face and whether you forgot it there since Friday.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Different situations call out different versions of you, and that is ordinary rather than dishonest. The risk is not in having them but in forgetting one is on: the guarded version you needed on Friday still running on Sunday with people who never required it. What was useful becomes a habit nobody asked for.
Check occasionally which one you are wearing and whether the situation still calls for it. Notice where you relax and where you do not. If a version has not come off in days, that is worth examining gently rather than scolding yourself about.
Which version of you has been on too long this week?
