The texts you type and delete say more about what you’re really feeling than the ones you send.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
What you write and then remove is the unfiltered version, and the deletion is usually about consequence rather than accuracy. The sent message has been adjusted for how it will land. The deleted one was closer to what you actually felt before you thought about the reply.
Pay attention to what you keep almost saying. If the same unsent thing appears repeatedly with one particular person, that is worth knowing, whether or not you ever send it. Sometimes the right move is to say a calmer version of it out loud rather than typing it again.
What did you delete before sending because it felt too true?
