REFLECTION
Agreeing to something when you have nothing left produces a worse outcome for everyone involved. You turn up depleted, you are poor company, and the person who wanted you there gets a version of you that is barely present. The yes felt generous and the delivery is not.
Take a second before answering to check what state you are actually in. A plain no, or a request to move it to next week, is more useful than a reluctant attendance. People generally prefer being told the truth early over being quietly resented later.
What did you say yes to while running on empty?
