Solitude is the practice field. The game is out there, but the footwork gets built here.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Skills get built in private and spent in public, and the way you handle yourself works the same way. Time alone is where you find out what you actually think, what you can sit with, and how you talk to yourself when nothing is going well. None of that appears in the moment it is needed unless it was built somewhere quieter first.
Treat your quiet hours as work rather than leftover time. Use some of them to think one hard thought all the way through instead of only resting. What you practise there will show up later, in rooms full of people.
What do you rehearse alone that shows up when others watch?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
