Everyone needs a home base to tag back to. Make yours a spot inside your own head.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

A place to return to matters, and the version you carry with you is the only one that cannot be taken away. Rooms change, people move, and a base built entirely out of external things is on loan. Something internal that you can go back to steadies everything around it.

Work out what yours is made of: a routine, a way of breathing, a few sentences that stay true regardless of the day. Practise going there when nothing is wrong, so the route is familiar when something is. A home you can reach from anywhere is worth building slowly.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What thought do you return to when things get loud?
