Motivation is a fair-weather friend. On the gray days, your reason is the only thing that still shows up.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Motivation is a feeling, and feelings behave like weather. On good days it carries you and you mistake it for character, and on flat days it is simply absent, with nothing having gone wrong. What holds when the feeling is gone is knowing why the thing matters to you, which is a decision rather than a mood.
Write one sentence about why you are doing the thing you keep quitting, in your own words rather than borrowed ones. Keep it where you will see it on a bad morning. On those mornings, do a smaller version instead of waiting to feel like it.
Why do you keep going when the motivation disappears?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
