Draw your own finish line. Racing on somebody else’s track guarantees you’ll feel behind.

Comparison needs a shared track to work on, and most of the tracks handed to you were laid out by someone whose life is not yours. Running on one of those guarantees a gap, because there is always somebody further along a route you did not choose. Feeling behind is often just proof that the measurement is borrowed.
Say plainly what finished would look like for you in one part of your life. Write it in terms you can check without looking at anyone else. Measure against that for a month and see how much of the old pressure came from the scoreboard.
Whose finish line have you been running toward by default?
