Pay attention to who you become right after a win. Victory reveals more about you than you’d like.

Losing tests you in an obvious way, and winning tests you in a way nobody warns you about. A good result loosens things: slightly louder, slightly less careful with the people who helped, slightly more certain you were right all along. Nobody is watching for it, because everyone is busy congratulating you.
After the next thing that goes well, watch your own behaviour for a day or two. Notice how you talk about the others who were in the room. Whoever shows up in the first hour after a win is worth meeting, whatever they turn out to be like.
How did you treat people the hour after your last win?
