A personal brand is a logo. A person is the stuff behind it that doesn’t fit on a banner.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
A brand is a simplification built to be recognised quickly, and a person is the opposite of that. Trouble starts when the simplified version becomes the thing you maintain, because the parts that do not match the look get quietly retired. Consistency of image costs you range.
Notice whether you have started filtering what you do by whether it fits how you present. Do one thing this month that is off-brand and keep it off the record. Being harder to summarise is not a problem to solve, and it leaves more of you intact.
