A failed plan isn’t trash. Take it apart; one of the pieces probably fits the next idea.

A plan that failed still holds everything you learned while making it. The research, the contacts, the structure and the parts that nearly worked do not stop existing because the whole did not. Throwing all of it out is the actual waste, not the failure itself.
Before you put the last one out of mind, spend twenty minutes listing what was sound about it. Keep those pieces somewhere you will find them again. The next attempt usually moves much faster, because you are not rebuilding what was already fine.
Which piece of your failed plan is still worth keeping?
