Big decisions made at midnight usually look different at breakfast. Let the sun vote too.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Judgement runs differently at night. Everything feels more final, consequences look larger, and the sense that something must be settled right now is itself a product of being tired. A decision that seems obvious at midnight often looks strange in daylight, which tells you something about when it was made.
Make it a rule that nothing significant gets decided or sent after a certain hour. Write it down instead and leave it there. If it still looks right after breakfast, act on it then, with the whole of your judgement rather than part of it.
What are you deciding tonight that could wait until morning?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
