Sometimes perspective arrives simply by looking at something that existed long before your worries.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Old things do something arguments cannot. A stone shaped long before anyone worried about anything you are worried about, a river that ran through every crisis you have heard of, a tree older than your grandparents: they do not make your problems smaller by reasoning, they simply place them in a longer frame. The effect is felt rather than concluded.
When you are spinning, go find something old. A cliff, a building, a very large tree. Stand near it without your phone for a few minutes. The relief this brings is not an argument you could reconstruct afterward, and it works anyway.
What old tree or building near you was here long before you?
