Revenge costs you time, sleep, and headspace, and the receipt is always bigger than you expected.

Getting even requires you to keep the injury alive. Planning it means thinking about the person daily, rehearsing what they did, and giving them hours they are not spending on you, which is a strange arrangement when you look at it directly. The harm is done, and the ongoing cost is yours alone.
You are allowed to be angry about what happened without organizing your months around it. Where something can be addressed properly, address it once, plainly, and let that be the end. Where it cannot, put the energy into the part of your life they have no access to.
How much sleep has getting even already cost you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
