You live on a moving planet and rarely feel the motion.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
You are traveling at enormous speed, spinning, and circling, and the only reason you can drink a cup of tea is that everything around you is moving too. Stillness is entirely local and entirely convincing. The sense of a fixed floor beneath you is one of the most successful illusions you live inside, and it works so well that remembering the truth requires deliberate effort.
At some point today, stand still and think about the actual motion for thirty seconds. The point is not to feel dizzy but to notice how much of what feels solid is a matter of frame. Other things you take as fixed may be moving too.
What large change is underway in your life that you cannot feel?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
