Your job pays you for hours of your life. Know what you’re selling them for.

Wages look like money for work, but what leaves your hands is time, and time does not come back. An hour on the clock is an hour of the only supply you have. Seen that way, the question is not only whether the pay is fair but whether the trade is worth making.
Work out what one hour of your work actually buys you once everything is taken out. Then ask what else that hour is building besides the number in your account. If nothing, the job can stay for now, but give it an end date.
What is an hour of your life currently selling for?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
