Putting it off doesn’t make the work disappear. It just moves it into the week future you had planned for rest.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Delay does not reduce a task, it relocates it, usually onto a week that was already spoken for. The relief you feel when you postpone something is genuine but borrowed. The later version of you has the same number of hours available and one more job inside them.
When you are about to push something back, ask which specific day it is going to and whether that day is actually free. If it is not, do the smallest starting piece now. Fifteen minutes today often removes the whole weight of the thing.
Which rest day have you already filled with delayed work?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
