Live like you’re packing a time capsule. What would you want someone to find from this year?

Asking what would represent a year forces the question of what is actually in it. Most years contain plenty of activity and very little that would be worth putting in a box, which is uncomfortable and useful information at the same time. The exercise is a way of checking whether anything is being built.

Answer it honestly for this year, and if the box looks thin, there are still months left. Pick one thing to make, learn or do that would belong in it. Then it stops being an assessment and becomes a plan.
