The mind can imagine places the body has never visited.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
Sitting still, you can construct a place you have never been, populate it, move through it. Something in you generates experience without input, well enough to feel like memory. This capacity is used constantly, for planning, for fear, for stories, and it is treated as unremarkable despite being one of the strangest things you can do.
Use it deliberately once in a while rather than letting it run on worry, which is its most common employment. Imagine somewhere well, in detail, for its own sake. The same machinery that rehearses disasters can be pointed at almost anything, and it responds to direction.
Which place have you visited only in your head?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
