Animation is the art of making things that never moved look alive. That’s basically what all creating is.

A drawing is ink and a song is air moving, and yet both can carry something that feels like a pulse. Whatever you make, you are taking inert material and arranging it so that a stranger feels motion, weight or breath. The craft is in the arrangement rather than the material, which is why a few lines can live and a technically perfect picture can sit there dead.

Look at the thing you are making and ask where the life in it is. Find the one part that moves, surprises or breathes, and build more around that. Cut what is merely correct.
