Love is the stuff they do that you never asked for, like charging your phone while you’re asleep.

Care is easiest to spot in the things nobody requested. A request creates an obligation, and meeting it proves only that someone is decent; the unprompted act proves they were thinking about you when you were not there to notice. Most of the love in a household is invisible for exactly this reason.

Spend a week looking for what gets done for you without being mentioned. Name one of them out loud to the person who did it, specifically, so they know it registered. Then do one yourself and say nothing about it, which is the whole form.
