Being loyal doesn’t mean nodding at everything. Sometimes the loyal move is “nah, you’re wrong on this one.”

Agreement is the cheapest thing you can offer anyone. Nodding along keeps the peace in the moment and leaves your friend walking toward the same wall, which is not a favor even though it feels like one. People who only ever agree with you are pleasant and not much use. The rarer position is to stay close and still say no.
When you think someone is wrong, say so once, clearly, without turning it into a campaign. Keep the tone low and the point specific. Then back them either way, since that is what makes the disagreement land as care.
When did you agree with a friend you thought was wrong?
