Stopping mid-argument to say “wait, you’re right” is a power move almost nobody makes.

Conceding mid-argument is rare because it costs status in the moment. Everyone is braced to defend, so an admission arrives with nothing to push against and the escalation simply stops, which is why it feels like losing and works like control. It also tells the other person you were genuinely listening. Almost nobody does it, and it is entirely learnable.
Next time you notice the other person has a point, say so before you finish your own sentence. Do not attach a rebuttal to the end of it. Watch how fast the temperature in the room drops.
When did you last concede a point mid-argument?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
