Sometimes what you call intuition is a conclusion your mind reached before showing you the evidence.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Reasoning often runs ahead of awareness. The mind reaches a position, then presents it to you as a feeling, and constructs the supporting argument afterward. What arrives as pure instinct may be a conclusion drawn from evidence you did not consciously register, which sometimes makes it valuable and sometimes makes it a prejudice you cannot see the source of.

When a strong hunch appears, try to reconstruct what you noticed. If you can find the observations, take it seriously. If nothing comes and the hunch happens to align with something you already wanted, be more careful, since that is exactly what a rationalization looks like from inside.
