Some people become addicted to beginnings because endings would reveal whether the effort actually worked.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Starting is all promise and no verdict. Nothing has failed yet, the potential is intact, and the energy is genuine. Finishing delivers a result, and the result might say something about your ability that you would rather not hear. So a person accumulates beginnings, each one sincere, and never arrives at the moment where the work gets assessed.
If you have a pile of unfinished things, choose the smallest and complete it, even badly. The information you get from one finished thing is worth more than ten starts, and the fear that it will expose you almost never survives actually doing it.
Which project of yours have you restarted rather than finished?
