Take the heat in public and pass the credit in public. Keep the lecture for private.

LEADERSHIP
Where you place things decides most of what people learn about working with you. Blame absorbed in front of others makes a group safer to be in, and credit handed out in front of others makes it worth contributing to. Correction delivered in front of others does nothing the private version would not do, and costs the person something they did not need to pay.
Run that pattern once this week, even in a small group. Say the miss was yours, name who did the good part out loud, and save the specific feedback for a quiet minute afterward.
When did you last take blame that could have been shared?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
