A tough teammate can make you better or bitter. You pick which.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Being around someone hard to play with will change you either way. The only open question is the direction. Bitterness feels justified and asks nothing of you, which is exactly why it is the easy slope. Getting better out of it means taking the useful part, the standard they hold or the thing they can see, and leaving the rest with them.

Think of the teammate you find difficult and name one thing they are genuinely good at. Borrow it at practice this week. You do not have to like them to learn from them, and you certainly do not have to tell them you did.
