Hard times make you sort your contacts. Some people show up with soup. Some show up in your DMs asking what happened.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Trouble produces two different kinds of interest. One wants to help and arrives with something practical, usually without asking much at all; the other wants the story and arrives with questions. Both feel like attention when you are short of it, and only one of them leaves you better off. The sorting happens whether you want it to or not, and it is reliable information.

Notice who turns up with something in their hands the next time you are struggling. Those are the people to spend your energy on afterwards. You are not obliged to update everybody else, and a short answer is a complete answer.
