You’ll have days where all you did was get through it. Some seasons, that’s the entire assignment.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Not every stretch of life is for building something. In some periods the honest task is continuing, and measuring those weeks against your productive ones gives you a false reading and a lot of unnecessary shame. Getting through a hard day is not a reduced version of a good day. During certain seasons it is the whole of what was being asked of you.

Judge this week by what it actually required rather than by what an easier week could have produced. If the task was continuing, and you continued, the assignment is done. There will be time for the ambitious version when the season turns.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which day asked nothing of you except getting through?
