Resilience can look like turning off notifications and going to sleep at a normal time.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Toughness gets pictured as doing more, when a great deal of it is quietly refusing to be available. Staying up to answer everything and absorb whatever the evening throws at you is not strength, it just leaves less of you for tomorrow. Choosing to be unreachable for ten hours is a small, unglamorous act that repairs more than most big gestures.
Pick a time tonight after which your phone lives in another room. Put it on silent and let the messages wait, because nearly all of them will. Do that three nights this week and watch what it does to the days after.
What would you switch off to sleep properly tonight?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
