Some weeks you’re carrying more than people can see. Being kind to yourself isn’t weakness, it’s maintenance.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Weight you carry quietly still takes up capacity, and the people around you are responding to the version of your week they can see. Being gentler with yourself under those conditions is not indulgence, it is the same logic as servicing something that is working hard. Machines get maintained when the load is highest, which is exactly when it is least convenient.
Pick one thing this week that restores rather than achieves: sleep, food, a walk, an hour with nobody needing anything. Put it in the calendar rather than hoping for it. If someone is short with you, consider that they may be carrying something invisible too.
What are you carrying this week that nobody around you sees?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
