At the warehouse, ambition looks like learning every station, not just your own.

In most workplaces the people who move up are the ones who can cover anywhere, because that is what makes somebody valuable rather than merely competent. Learning the station next to yours costs a few shifts of being slow and awkward. It also means you understand how the whole operation fits together, which is what being trusted with more actually requires.

Ask to be shown one job that is not yours this month, and ask on a quiet shift rather than a busy one. Learn it well enough to cover for somebody. Do that twice a year and you become the person they look for.
