Every good kitchen has someone who once taught a teenager to hold a knife right. Be that person.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Every workplace that functions has somebody in it doing the unpaid teaching. They slow down, correct the grip, explain why the method is the method, and none of it appears in their pay. Places without that person run on fear and secrecy instead, and everybody stays slightly worse than they could be. It is a role rather than a personality, and it is nearly always self-appointed.
You can take it now, in whatever group you are in. When the new person is struggling, go and show them properly rather than doing it for them. Ten minutes of that is the difference between a team and a rota.
Which beginner could you teach a basic properly this month?
