Ambition built on comparison never finishes. There’s always someone further. Build on curiosity instead.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
A goal defined by beating other people has no end point, because the field is effectively infinite and somebody is always further along. That makes every achievement temporary and every success faintly sour. Curiosity has a different shape: no leaderboard, it survives other people doing well, and it generates the next question by itself. One of them wears you out and the other feeds you.
Notice how often your motivation this week is really about somebody else. Then swap one of those for a question you actually want answered about your own work. Interest lasts much longer than wanting to be ahead.
Who do you keep measuring yourself against for no good reason?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
