Be the kind of good that makes people want to get better, not want to quit.

LEADERSHIP
Excellence can be worn in two ways. Some people are good in a manner that makes everybody around them raise their game: they explain, they share, they make the standard look reachable. Others are good in a way that makes beginners decide not to bother, usually through a display that emphasises the gap. The skill is identical in both cases and the effect on a room is not.
In your next session, use your strongest thing to make somebody else better rather than to establish distance. Show the step instead of the result. It costs you nothing and changes whether people want to be there.
Does being around you make people try harder or give up?
